As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of volunteer befrienders, conduct weekly sessions, and liaise with the EXCO team on matters relating to on-the-ground operations, administrative matters, and children/parents-related matters.
Volunteer Coordinators are required to commit to ALL of the following: (Please read before applying)
- 1 Orientation and Training (O&T)
- 1 Rapport Building Session
- 5 Teaching Sessions
- Children's Post Assessment + Celebration
- Volunteers' Appreciation
Overall Timeline:
- 4 Oct (Sat): In-person O&T (10am - 1pm)
- 11 Oct (Sat): Rapport Building Session (8.15am - 11.30am)
- 18 Oct to 15 Nov (Every Sat): Teaching Sessions #1-5 (8.15am - 11.30am)
- 22 Nov (Sat): Children's Post Assessment + Celebration (8.15am - 11.30am)
- 29 Nov (Sat): Volunteers' Appreciation (TBC)
Session Location:
- All sessions from 4 Oct to 1 Nov will be held at Bedok Green Primary School
- Remaining sessions from 8 Nov to 22 Nov will be updated again
Please note:
- Volunteers might be required to undergo a short informal interview online
- Volunteers will be contacted via Telegram
- Only past volunteer befrienders from Kidscount Bedok 2025 will be considered
To ensure safety of the children from ComLink families, all KidsCount volunteers will be required to also sign up as a volunteer with MSF and clear a security screening process for suitability to be a child befriender. Do note that screening takes up to 1 month, and we will not be able to accept volunteers who are unable to clear the security process. Feel free to approach us if you may have any concerns.
