About Nursing Care Buddies @ SGH
Join us in the Nursing Care Buddies Programme @ SGH (Singapore General Hospital), where youths are equipped through a certified 4-day Basic Support Care training to care for patients in the wards.
With guidance from the SGH nurses, youth volunteers will support with basic patient care tasks like feeding, hygiene, etc - helping to bridge gaps and bring added care to patients.
This opportunity is open to youths aged 17-35 years old.
Participants who complete the Nursing Care Buddies @ SGH (Youth) programme will be eligible to apply for the Healthcare Youth Leaders Programme (HYLP 2027) in Sept/Oct 2026. Successful applicants will receive an exemption from the 12 hospital-based volunteering sessions required under HYLP.
**You will select your 12 shifts after you attend the Info Session (20th / 27th June 2026).
The current 12 dates (1st - 12th Aug) are placeholder dates.
(After attending the compulsory Info Session, more details will be shared on how you will select your actual 12 shifts, which will start from August 2026 onwards, ending in November 2026 latest.)
