AI Impact Sprint: Skills-Based Volunteering AI Project (with Free Food For All)

The AI Impact Sprint: Skills-Based Volunteering AI Project, part of Empact's Youth Career Exploration in AI for Good Programme, is an immersive project-based initiative that connects youth with non-profit organisations and/or ground-up groups in Singapore!

Over 3 activity days spanning 3 weeks, you will work in small teams (6-7 youths) alongside experienced industry AI mentors. Together, you will collaborate with a Free Food For All, a charity in Singapore dedicated to addressing food insecurity, to solve real-world challenges by developing and adopting Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using generative AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and NotebookLM.

Programme Breakdown (3-Week Sprint of up to 2hrs/session)

1. Session #0 (Virtual | 30 Sep): Briefing and team connect.

2. Session #1 (In-Person | 7 Oct)*: Problem framing & co-creation kickoff at Community Partner’s Office.

3. Session #2 (Hybrid | 14 Oct): Mid-project sprint, prototyping, and mentor feedback.

4. Session #3 (In-Person | 28 Oct)*: Final presentation and handover of MVP to Community Partner.
