About event
What does working in finance actually look like beyond spreadsheets, formulas and market headlines?
Join Vanessa Tanuwijaya, a corporate finance and investment professional with over 15 years of experience across Singapore and Indonesia, for an interactive workshop that brings finance to life through real business decisions.
Participants will explore the different paths within finance, learn how corporate finance professionals evaluate opportunities and trade-offs, and get a realistic look at the skills and judgment needed in the industry today.
Then, step into the analyst seat. Working in groups, participants will tackle two real-world case studies, analyse financial information, weigh profitability, cash, risk and capital efficiency, and present their recommendation as if they were advising management.
The session will also cover how AI is changing entry-level finance work, what employers increasingly expect, and practical ways to start building relevant skills and experience.
