SLEUTH MODE: crack a fraud case by building your own AI agents

Somebody has been quietly draining a fund at a school. They were careful about it. The evidence is all there, sitting in three piles: the access logs, the transactions, and the student records. The catch is that no human could read all of it in a day.

That is the whole point, and it is why you will spend the day building AI agents to read it for you.

SLEUTH MODE is one room, one case and seven hours. In the morning, three people who do this for a living open up their side of the case: one from education, one from cybersecurity, one from fintech. Each of them builds a working AI agent live in front of you in about six minutes, so you can see it is not magic. Then the whole room builds one together, step by step. By lunch, yours exists and it runs.

In the afternoon you pick a side of the case, sit with a team, and start digging. Every answer you submit has to come with the document your agent pulled it from, so guessing will not get you through. The three groups have to trade what they find, because no strand of the case closes on its own.

You do not need to code. You do not need any AI experience. You need a morning of paying attention and a willingness to be wrong a few times before lunch.

What you will do

Build your first AI agent before lunch, with help, from scratch. Work in a team of four on one strand of the case. Get agents to read hundreds of emails, thousands of transaction rows and a pile of records, then follow what they find. Back up every answer with evidence. Show your work to people who hire for this.

What to expect

A full day, a loud room, a live leaderboard, and a proper reveal at the end. Free food. Learn about three different industries to talk to. Exciting cash prizes to be won. And working agents published under your own name.

Who this is for

Students and young working adults under the age of 30, any discipline. Bring a laptop. Come alone and we will put you in a team, or bring your own.
