About event

Ever caught yourself flexing a little, hiding your spending habits, or brushing off money worries with an โ€œit's fine lahโ€? ๐Ÿ‘€

We all have different ways of talking about money โ€” and sometimes, what we show the world doesn't quite match what's going on behind the scenes.

Join us for How to Spot the Money Mask We Wear, where we unpack the ways we present ourselves financially, from acting like we've got it all figured out to keeping our money worries to ourselves. Explore why we might feel the need to impress others, avoid talking about money, or pretend everything is okay when it isn't.

Through open conversations and shared experiences, we'll take a closer look at our relationship with money, the expectations we put on ourselves, and the stories we tell others (and ourselves) about our finances.

Your host: Jean-Paul Valdes
JP is a certified coach, trainer, serial entrepreneur, and co-founder of MADCash, a social enterprise helping entrepreneurs build real financial futures. For over a decade, heโ€™s worked with everyone from startups to C-suite executives at companies like UOB, Johnson & Johnson and Unilever, turning big ideas into simple, honest conversations.

Known for blending storytelling, coaching and game-based experiences, JP doesnโ€™t lecture. He gets people talking, reflecting and rethinking what they actually believe about money and success. Having lived across Asia since 2008, he brings a grounded, real-talk style for anyone ready to stop guessing and start owning their money story.

Whether youโ€™re just starting out, a few paycheques in, or still not sure where it all goes, youโ€™re welcome here. There is no judgement, no need to flex, just an honest space to reflect, connect, and get a little more comfortable with the money conversations we don't always have.
