POV: You’re an NYC Officer (Run 2)

Ever wondered how the Public Service empowers and supports young people in Singapore?

 

POV: You're an NYC Officer is a half-day career exploration programme where you'll discover what it’s like to support youth development and create meaningful opportunities for young people. 

 

Take on real-life workplace challenges: 
You'll get to choose two job taster experiences from the activities available on the day, which may include: 

• Facility Management Officer – Conduct workplace safety checks and plan responses to emergency situations.

• Finance Officer – Review finance cases, interpret guidelines, and provide recommendations for different scenarios. 

• Global Office Officer – Participate in an ASEAN roundtable simulation to experience regional collaboration, negotiation, and consensus-building. 

• Product Manager – Prioritise digital product enhancements by balancing user needs, stakeholder expectations, and practical constraints. 

• Youth Leadership Engagement Officer – Design meaningful engagement sessions that respond to the needs and aspirations of youths.

 

First-hand look at NYC and Public Service: 

• Gain a deeper understanding of the many career pathways available within the Public Service 

• Hear directly from NYC professionals and discover the skills required for different roles 

• Experience the work, people and purpose behind NYC 

 

Who should apply?
This programme is intended for youths who are currently studying at the secondary, pre-university or Institute of Higher Learning (ITE, Polytechnic or University) levels, and are interested in exploring careers in the Public Service.

 

Registration starts at 9.30am.
