About the Event

Bit by Bit Coding’s Python course is designed to take beginners to intermediate proficiency. Open to youths aged 13+, this engaging course contains lessons, challenges, and a micro-hackathon at the end of the term. Participants can look forward to connecting with industry experts and building things for community courses they care about.

Our tutors come from a variety of backgrounds: including CS students from VJC, HCI, SP and NUS, as well as professionals working in data science and fintech. Our mentors come from Cognizant, Open Government Products, GovTech, Citi, NUS YLLSoM, SMU, RP, VJC, MND, SLA, and Harvard Kennedy School, among many others.

About Bit by Bit Coding

Bit by Bit Coding (BbB) is a Singaporean, youth-led non-profit providing zero-cost, multi-year advanced programming pathways to students aged 13–18 based in Singapore. (www.bbbcoding.org) Our mission is to remove financial barriers to deep technical literacy. BbB acts as the zero-cost capstone bridge for passionate students, teaching them data structures, object-oriented programming, and foundational AI/ML at zero cost.    We are recognised under the BAGUS Together ecosystem, a member of the Changemakers Guild, supported by the Singapore Government Partnerships Office, and have run our cohorts out of *SCAPE Singapore and Ismaili CIVIC Community Space. We are also listed as an official programme of the Temasek Foundation's OSCAR Fund. Our work has impacted youths from all backgrounds, including from partners like MSF ComLink+ and Club Rainbow.

How to Sign Up

Participants are expected to commit to the term and are responsible for their own learning. Participants can attend the programme at either of two locations: Buona Vista Zone 'D' RN (11 Holland Dr, #01-28 Holland Vista, Singapore 271011) or Hub With A Heart @ Serangoon (267 Serangoon Ave 3, #02-02, Singapore 550267).
