Barney Chan

About me

"Barney is an accomplished finance and corporate strategy professional, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Strategy at Spark Systems. He possesses expertise in fintech growth, late-stage corporate fundraising (Series C), and internal corporate restructuring. Barney holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Finance from the University of Surrey. In addition to his corporate career, Barney is a dedicated grassroots leader and mentor with the People’s Association Singapore. Having served as Vice-Chairman of the Youth Network and a member of the Citizens' Consultative Committee, he specializes in youth mentorship, leadership development, and social entrepreneurship. With a strong foundation in student-led social enterprise, Barney served as President and Project Advisor for Enactus Surrey. In these roles, he managed fundraising, drove community partnerships, and trained teams for national business case competitions, earning the University of Surrey Student Union's "Signatory of the Year" award."
