About me

"An accidental Civil Servant, but grateful to be in the Public Service. I was not sure what I wanted to do by the time I entered NS. I stumbled into the Public Service because I was hoping for an organization to send me overseas to study. The Army was the first to give me the opportunity to train in the United Kingdom officer academy, and so I signed up after some agonizing over whether I really wanted to be a professional soldier. In the end, I served 22 years in the SAF and Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), followed another 11 exciting years in the National Youth Council (NYC) under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), where I still am. My path in life has had many twists and turns, and I am open to share about my journey and choices."
