Danial Hakim

About me

"I’m Danial and I have over 6 years of experience crafting national-level policies which have addressed labour, law, security, and socio-economic issues in Singapore. I’ve worked across multiple Ministries in the Civil Service, most recently in the Prime Minister's Office (Strategy Group). Outside of work, I have helmed several volunteer-run community organisations over the past decade, with a focus on social mobility, youth empowerment, and legal assistance for those in need. Prior to joining the Civil Service, I read law at the National University of Singapore, before being called to the Singapore Bar. Currently, I am completing a postgraduate degree at the University of Oxford as Singapore's first-ever ASEAN-Chevening Scholar, with the support of a couple other scholarships as well. At Oxford, I lead the student-run Public Governance Cluster at the Blavatnik School of Government."
