About me

"I'm Desmond and I am a sport biomechanist at the High Performance Sport Institute, with experience supporting elite and para-athletes across swimming, kayaking, athletics, badminton, and racket sports. My work spans high-performance biomechanics support, applied research, and technology-driven performance analysis at major international competitions, including the Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, SEA Games, and World Championships. I am currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Western Australia, where my research focuses on world-class tennis serving mechanics using markerless motion analysis. Alongside my practitioner and research work, I have supervised final-year projects and internships across sport science, engineering, and computer science. As a mentor, I aim to share practical field experience, research knowledge, and a multidisciplinary perspective to help students and early-career practitioners develop meaningful skills in sport science and biomechanics."

I'm interested in Sports and Physical Well-being.

I've worked in Sports.
