About me

"Hi, I'm Dorcas - urban planner turned business analyst turned data engineer. My path to tech started with degrees in the UK and US (plus a summer in China), all in urban planning and geography. No CS degree - just curiosity, analytical thinking and a willingness to try. Today, I am a Data Engineer working at the intersection of strategy, cloud architecture and digital transformation. I bridge the gap between tech and business - translating needs, aligning stakeholders and turning data chaos into clear outcomes. I code, but I also talk to people. A lot. Outside of work? Tennis court, pickleball court, the gym, or planning my next hike / run / ski / dive trip. Fun Fact: former lifeguard, currently a certified personal trainer. I'm also always learning - chasing certs in cloud and data engineering, building fun side projects and sharing them on LinkedIn just for fun."
