About me

"I'm Ryan, a Candidate at LKYSPP, Masters in Public Policy, anchored in Water Policy under the Institute for Environment and Sustainability (IES @ NUS). My day gig at Jacobs as a Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) specialist, supports Singapore’s national “Active, Beautiful, Clean (ABC) Waters” - a Nature Based Solution (NBS) approach, integrating blue-green infrastructure that manages peak rain runoff and improves stormwater quality through integrated catchment planning. In parallel, I was the former Chairperson of the Singapore Water Association Young Water Professionals (SWA-YWP) and as the IWA-YWP Singapore Country Representative, which has expanded my exposure to People–Public–Private partnerships and multilateral networks (including collaborations with IAHR and ADB Water). I currently chair the Youth Parliament for Water (Singapore Chapter), which focuses on translating practitioner and lived perspectives into policy discourse for equitable water access. I help mentees find their niche (Water/Sustainability/Climate Change), facilitating difficult decisions between passion, interest and a professional career."
