About me

"I’m Bee Teck and I have spent my career at the intersection of technology, public service, and leadership - currently serving as Assistant Chief Executive at GovTech Singapore, where I lead digital transformation for the Economic and National Development Clusters. My journey has been anything but linear. I’ve navigated legacy system modernisations, built product-centric teams from scratch, and learned to lead through constant technological change -including the recent wave of AI and agentic systems that reshaped how I think about building and leading. What I’ve learned along the way: the most important skill isn’t knowing all the answers. It’s being willing to learn in public, to admit when you’re behind, and to turn that vulnerability into momentum. I’ve sat in meetings where I felt like the least informed person in the room, and I’ve learned that showing up anyway - asking basic questions, failing publicly, iterating - is what actually builds credibility and trust. I’m passionate about developing the next generation of technology leaders. I believe that leadership is not about having all the technical expertise; it’s about creating the conditions for others to grow, making the hard calls when the data runs out, and modelling the kind of continuous learning that keeps teams resilient in the face of change.
