"Julian Tan is a Lead Threat Intelligence Specialist at a large technology platform in Singapore, focusing on understanding adversaries and translating complex threat activity into actionable risk insights for the business. Working across the APAC region, he combines hands-on technical investigation with strategic advisory, helping organisations identify emerging threats - from social engineering campaigns and software vulnerabilities to supply chain and AI-related risks - and translating them into operational responses such as detection strategies, remediation guidance, and security improvements. Julian’s work spans threat intelligence analysis, operational support for incident response, and developing priority intelligence requirements that guide security programs. He works closely with engineering, security operations, and business teams to ensure intelligence meaningfully informs both tactical defences actions and leadership strategic decision-making. As a mentor, he enjoys helping others develop analytical thinking, technical investigation skills, and an understanding of how cyber threat intelligence connects to real business risk."
