Officers hold higher ranks with more responsibilities, including planning, administration, and supervision. Specialists do more ground work, directly leading platoons and perform fewer administrative duties.

First, complete the nine-week Basic Military Training (BMT). If your BMI is above threshold or you fail fitness tests, expect an extra ten weeks. You will thereafter attend ten-month Officer Cadet School.
