Paramedics are first responders who rush to medical emergencies, assess patients, provide immediate care, and transport them to hospitals.
Description
- Respond to emergency calls for medical assistance.
- Perform onsite emergency medical care.
- Transport patients safely to medical facilities.
- Administer oxygen, drugs, and intravenous infusions.
- Evaluate patients and make diagnoses.
Entry requirements
- You'll need a NITEC, Diploma, or Degree in Nursing to get started. Volunteer experience with St John or Red Cross is also helpful.
