About the Programme

PCDA, Singapore’s Career Development Association, has introduced six transformational skills to enhance employability and personal growth. These skills empower individuals to adopt a lifelong learning mindset, embrace an entrepreneurial spirit, manage themselves and others effectively, drive change, leverage technology, and connect the dots between external trends and personal career development. By integrating these transformative skills into daily work, individuals can stay relevant, seize opportunities, and thrive in an evolving workforce.

The People & Career Development Association (PCDA) presents a two-part session designed to empower youths and young professionals in navigating an evolving workforce with confidence, clarity, and career resilience.


Part 1: Six Transformational Skills for Career Development

This dynamic workshop introduces six core transformational skills that serve as critical enablers for lifelong learning, adaptability, and employability. Grounded in PCDA’s Transformational Skills Framework for Career Development (TS4CD), the programme helps individuals thrive in diverse environments—whether in school, the workplace, or business.

Learning Outcome:

Participants will develop a strong foundation in transformational skills, equipping them with practical strategies to enhance their adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving abilities in various professional and personal settings.

Learning Objectives:

This workshop provides participants with actionable tools to cultivate a lifelong learning mindset, embrace an entrepreneurial approach, manage themselves and others effectively, drive change, leverage technology, and connect industry trends with career growth. Through interactive exercises, real-world case studies, and hands-on activities, attendees will learn how to apply these skills in their daily lives.

Part 2: Mentor-Mentee Programme for Professional Growth

This structured training programme is designed to empower both mentors and mentees to foster impactful, growth-oriented relationships. Mentors will enhance their ability to guide and support mentees, while mentees will learn how to maximize mentorship for career development using the Transformational Skills Framework for Career Development (TS4CD). We train both mentors in a session and mentee in another session.

Learning Outcomes and Objectives

For Mentors:

  1. Gain a deep understanding of mentoring principles and relationships, learn how to facilitate career conversations and guide mentees effectively, apply the TS4CD framework to develop mentees’ skills.
  2. Utilize mentoring tools to structure and support the mentor-mentee journey, Identify strengths of effective mentors and avoid common pitfalls, Track mentee progress through assessments and constructive feedback.

For Mentees:

  1. Learn how to engage in meaningful career conversations with mentors, Develop self-advocacy skills and take ownership of career growth.
  2. Apply TS4CD to build skills essential for career progression.
  3. Leverage mentorship to navigate career transitions and challenges, Utilize feedback and assessments to measure personal and professional development.
