About this programme
Step into the fast-paced world of a Security Operations Centre (SOC) and experience what it’s like to be on the frontline of cyber defence. In this interactive learning session, participants will explore the hierarchy and roles within a SOC — from Level 1 analysts to Incident Response (IR) managers — and understand how escalation flows keep operations running smoothly.
Through a hands-on team exercise, participants will triage a simulated cybersecurity incident, decide on escalation actions, and navigate the Incident Response (IR) lifecycle from detection to resolution. Along the way, they’ll uncover why clear documentation, ethical conduct, and timely communication are crucial to managing real-world incidents effectively.
Whether you’re new to cybersecurity or keen to sharpen your coordination and response skills, this session offers an exciting look at how teamwork, structure, and ethics form the backbone of every strong SOC.
Session #1 - 10am - 12pm
Session #2 - 2.30pm - 4.30pm
