About this programme

Facilitated by Singapore Repertory Theatre (SRT), participants will rotate through two guided components: a performing segment led by Ms Rachel Nip (drawing on her extensive background in dancing, acting and puppeteering), and a directing segment led by award-winning theatre director and actor Mr Daniel Jenkins (known for his work on stage and on screen, including Crazy Rich Asians). At the conclusion, participants will reunite for a sharing and showcase session, rehearsal room-style!

Highlights

  1. Industry-relevant exposure: Experience what it’s like to develop a scene the way theatre and content productions do—through direction, blocking, performance choices, and iteration.
  2. Two-track learning in one programme: Gain both performer and director view points from each session—how performers interpret intention, and how directors shape pacing, tone, and clarity.
  3. Expert facilitation by SRT: Led by practitioners with extensive industry experience and through a hands-on, kinetic approach to learning.
  4. Team-based collaboration: Build communication skills essential to creative industries- Working with people from different backgrounds and levels of experience, perspectives, creative ideas and personalities to achieve a shared goal.
  5. Post-workshop sharing: Hear from each other on takeaways, outcomes perspectives or short showcases that enrich the session experience.
