NYC Job taster: Behind the Scenes at the Climate Youth Development Programme (Run 1)
About this programme
The Climate Youth Development Programme (CYDP) is a youth leadership programme by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE), the National Youth Council (NYC), and the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) in Singapore.
The CYDP brings together 30 to 40 youth who are passionate about environmental sustainability and climate change (ES&CC) issues and want to create positive impact within their communities and Singapore. Through a multi-phase programme spanning across 8 months, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and/or soft skills that enable them to contribute more constructively to the ES&CC space; and collaborate with like-minded peers to drive ground-up action and raise awareness on ES&CC issues among the general population.
More information on the CYDP can be found here: cydp2026-factsheet.pdf
The half-day job taster opportunity will allow you to participate in the first phase of the CYDP, known as the Induction Week. Learn how NYC works with MSE and NCCS to deliver content on ES&CC and help participants apply their learnings as youth leaders, while facilitating community building to encourage post-programme collaboration among the youth leaders.
Note: This programme is targeted at youths aged between 15- 19 years old. Lunch will be provided.
