Cinematographer Job Description
  • Liaise with the Director to plan out the filming and discuss various shots to create a seamless and convincing storyline.
  • Envision and execute scene presentation based on the Director’s idea.
  • Capture moods and details through lenses, lighting, and other camera equipment.
  • Lead the Camera Crew to capture dynamic shots to effectively narrate the story.
  • Engage in post-shoot evaluations with the Director and Crew and address any feedback given along the way to improve the film’s outcome. 

Note

Cinematographers must be flexible as the role can span over weeks with little rest throughout. They need to consider the needs and demands of projects.
