- Assist in research and development of machines and mechanical parts.
- Conduct tests and maintenance of mechanical systems to evaluate their functionality, identify potential problems, and ensure they operate within expected parameters.
- Ensure that designs and finished work meet rules and regulations.
- Quantify costs of materials and labour needed for manufacture and installation to help companies make informed decisions regarding project feasibility and resource allocation.
- Design and install new and modified mechanical tools or machinery.
- Monitor technical areas of manufacture, maintenance and repair of machines to optimise the overall efficiency of mechanical systems.
