Children, Youth & Family

Some children and youth lack sufficient parental support due to many factors such as demanding work schedules or parental style. Your volunteer efforts can bridge this gap, offering them the care and attention they deserve. Make a difference in their lives today.

Every child deserves a fair start in life

Early childhood education

Early childhood education is important because it consists of not just education but also interaction.

Having early interactions and experiences can help a child to have a strong foundation in life. However, due to different family circumstances, some children may require more care and support.

Low income families

Some parents may face challenges due to limited resources and time, resulting in minimal quality time spent with their children.

This is often due to demanding work schedules, including irregular hours and unpredictable shift changes. Such circumstances can impact their children's well-being and development, potentially placing them at a disadvantage in the race of life.

Sense of belonging

Many at-risk youth were not able to have a sense of connection or belonging with their parents at home. This could be due to many factors such as work, parental style, or conflict.

They voiced the importance attached to experiencing a sense of belongingness, support, care and love from others. The absence of a caring adult was a key factor for the youths’ deprivation and disconnectedness with their lives, leading these youths to search for belonging with friends.
