Depot Train Controller Job Description
  • Assist in investigations of rail incidents and/or accidents.
  • Carry out follow-up actions to prevent the recurrence of rail incidents and/or accidents.
  • Comply with the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Code of Practice.
  • Comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Direct, launch and withdraw train movements within the depot.
  • Disseminate information to relevant staff and stakeholders during rail incidents and/or accidents.
  • Monitor communication and alert systems for occurrences of rail incidents and/or accidents within the depot.
  • Regulate rail traffic movements within the depot to maintain service continuity.

Note

Depot Train Controllers have to coordinate with various stakeholders to execute the immediate recovery of trains when train service disruptions occur.
