- A diploma or a degree in any discipline – preferred disciplines differ across radio stations. For example, News Radio stations would generally prefer a Journalism, Political Science, or Economics degree.
- Hands-on experience is preferred; source for internships or participate in extracurriculars which will allow you to experience what it is like to be a Radio Jockey or be behind the scenes when a Radio DJ is live on air.
