Understanding WITGRITFIT through the Career Simulation Game

Through our game, participants learned that successful career planning requires optimising three elements: WIT (multiple intelligences), GRIT (performance character traits), and FIT (personality, interests, skills, values etc.). The game also emphasised that career satisfaction comes from strategic resource management, where students learnt that they should intentionally allocate their limited energy, time, and money.

Increased Confidence & Skills

Post-workshop survey results showed measurable improvements in career readiness, with an overall 21.8% increase across all metrics:

1. 37.0% improvement in understanding systematic career exploration (3.00 → 4.11 average)
2. 25.9% increase in confidence for making career choices (3.00 → 3.78 average)
3. 16.7% improvement in ability to evaluate job suitability (3.33 → 3.89 average)
4. 11.4% increase in recognizing the need for continuous skills development (3.89 → 4.33 average)

Additionally, participants rated the session 4.45/5 for usefulness and 8.91/10 for recommending to friends.
